Growing up in the enclaves of Mount Vernon, New York, Daniel Patterson, better known by his moniker Daniel AMP, witnessed how the Big Apple fostered the hip hop culture and the talented individuals that kept it alive over the years. But amid it all, he also saw how some talents were whisked away to the sidelines. As one who has plenty to say through music himself, Daniel aimed to cement his name in the music industry and build a lasting legacy for hip hop artists like himself, who have been kept in the shadows far too long.

My Story

Daniel found himself in a downward spiral. He was brought up in an environment surrounded by violence and brokenness. Daniel also grew up without a genuine male figure to look up to. He found it extremely difficult to escape the stereotypes society has plagued upon people like himself.
